North Leigh Parish Council is has seats for 9 councillors who meet the 2nd Thursday of every month except for August, unless needed. The Council has 2 committees – Planning and Staffing – and manages several assets including North Leigh Cemetery, the Children’s Playground on Park Road and the Adventure Playground off of Windmill Road. The Council has recently held its first ever tree lighting as well as an event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day in 2025.
Being a Councillor involves attending meetings where informed decisions are made on behalf of residents. Decisions range from how finances are spent, comments on planning applications, management of village assets, consideration of future projects and more.
The Council welcomes and encourages members of the public to attend meetings and communicate with the Council as this is the best way for us to represent the Parish.
