Road Works
The Council has been made aware of several upcoming road works. P lease note that Notices for urgent works can last up to 5 consecutive days only.Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for those frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.

TTRO (T17329) Temporary Road Closure, North Leigh, Wilcote Road

In the interests of public safety, it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close the road and impose a ‘No Waiting’ restriction as detailed above to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works.
A temporary Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 8 April 2026.
The anticipated completion date is 12 April 2026, 04:00 to 18:00 hours.
TTRO (T17595) Temporary Road Closure, Witney, A40 Bypass (East & West)

A temporary Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and will operate from 20 April 2026. The anticipated completion date is 23 April 2026 , 20:00 to 06:00 nightly.

North Leigh Parish Council has a vacancy and would love to hear from any residents who are interested in learning more about it.
Local Government Reorganisation Consultation
As you may be aware, the Government is holding a consultation on 3 models being considered for Local Government Reorganisation. Details on the consultation and the 3 models can be found here: Local government reorganisation in Oxfordshire – GOV.UK.
Residents are invited to comment. The Parish Council will be considering their response at the meeting on the 12th March.
Water for delivery to vulnerable residents
The Council is very appreciative all of the local efforts.
The Council asks that residents look in on any vulnerable residents you know. If there are residents you know of who could benefit of assistance, please contact the Clerk on 07739 039496 or parishclerk@northleighparishcouncil.gov.uk or message Councillor Sarah Veasey on Facebook/phone her on 07798 730925 as we have 9 six packs of water which can be delivered this afternoon to vulnerable residents on a first come/first served basis.
Message from the District Council regarding Thames Water
You may already be aware of an ongoing issue where a water main that supplies a large area of West Oxfordshire has burst.
Thames Water are currently on site carrying out repairs. However, due to the location and size of the pipe, this is a complex repair and may take some time to resolve.
As a result, water supplies across West Oxfordshire are experiencing low pressure or loss of supply. We expect the situation to worsen throughout the day, with Carterton, Witney and other surrounding areas potentially losing water supply this afternoon. Thames Water are issuing updates on their website.
We would appreciate your help in sharing any important information and updates with residents in your communities, including the locations of the two bottled water stations that will be open until 21:00 this evening:
If you are aware of any vulnerable residents, please could you arrange for someone to check them just in case they haven’t been provided with any bottled water so far, and direct them to Thames Water’s Priority Services Register, which offers additional support for those who may need it. Work at the Cemetery
The Parish Council will be undertaking the refurbishment of the paths in the cemetery the week of the 23rd February.
The Parish Council is also aware that some of the graves in the cemetery need topping up and are working hard to sort that.
